Every October, the Goldman lab helps organize a giant pumpkin regatta on Lake Mendota. 2022 marked our 17th anniversary of this event, which owes a great debt to the inspiration of Jim Nienhuis, who pioneered many of our unorthodox techniques. Those interested in participating in the pumpkin regatta should look for flyers and social media postings in early October each year.
